Duo Dragons is a 2D Mobile F2P game aimed at 12-18 year olds, where they use two Dragons to collect and avoid balls of energy using left and right touch controls in tandam. The objective of the game is to collect balls (score) while the dragons are apart, and to then join Dragons to Bank your score.

LOW RETENTION

One of the problems we encountered with Duo Dragons was a Low Retention Rate. Although the game had Dragons to Purchase, and Potions to boost gameplay it was still lacking something.

We discovered that while players strived for a high score, there was in fact nothing for them to work towards besides a high score. So objectives were introduced and a level up system was designed to meet this need.

SUCCESS!

Our first phase of A/B Testing was carried out & the results were as expected. The Retention Rate had almost doubled in the Test Group, while the Control group remained the same.
